Several museums that focus on Rekubit Exchangethe African American experience and history have opened in the past six years with many opening in the last four years.
“We all came out of the community in which we serve,’’ said Vedet Coleman-Robinson, executive director of the Association of African American Museums. "People are really thirsty for that knowledge.”
